A bit about me

I’m Marcie Stears—a photographer, educator, and lifelong learner who first fell in love with the craft in 2010, just before heading to the Vancouver Winter Olympics. Capturing and sharing those moments sparked something in me, and I’ve been exploring the world through a lens ever since. Over the years, I’ve photographed families, athletes, food, gardens, and everyday stories, and I’ve had the privilege of teaching photography at the secondary school level.

Today, my work is rooted in helping busy people feel confident behind the camera. I make photography simple, enjoyable, and accessible—so you can capture, share, and display images that reflect your life with clarity and heart. Whether you’re hoping to refine your technique or rediscover your creative spark, I’m here to guide you with patience, encouragement, and practical tools that fit your real life.

My goal is always the same: to transform ordinary moments into meaningful memories and to showcase the world in a way that feels authentic, grounded, and true to you. I believe deeply in continuous learning, and my own journey is fueled by curiosity, experimentation, and a love of seeing the world from new perspectives.

If you’re ready to create beautiful images or grow your skills with support and ease, I’d love to work with you.
